Since 1985, the American Cancer Society has designated the month of October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It has become so popular that professional athletes are commonly seen wearing pink in honor of a loved one and to bring awareness to the cause. Statistics now show that 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.
Once again, Peace Village will stand together in our Pink Pride and celebrate courage, spread hope, support survivors, thrivers, caregivers and those that have lost their battle with breast cancer. Because, together we make a difference.
Starting, MONDAY, OCTOBER 7th – Come to the front desk and write the name of a loved one, survivor, or anyone who has been affected by Breast Cancer on one of our pink ribbons. We will be using these to decorate the brick pillars in the commons.
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 15th – Bake Sale Fundraiser
Come by the fireplace lounge from 12:00-2:00 and purchase a variety of baked goodies! Delicious treats made by Chef Claudia or donated goodies will be sold for cash or check only. Proceeds to be split between the American Cancer Society & Lora’s Fund.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 18TH – PINK OUT!!
Wear PINK to show your support and pride. Pink ribbon pins will be availble at the front desk.
We stand together to show that no one fights alone! With Love & my ongoing appreciaton for your support, Liz Sieben (Sales & Marketing)
